A music fanatic, my first paid gig - aged 16 - was writing CD reviews for (now defunct) glossy mag Jazz on CD. These days food is an equally big passion, and I still haven't got over the thrill of being paid to eat at some of Britain's best restaurants.
It's not all about the good life, though: one of my favourite commissions recently was to interview and write a feature about families living in homeless hostels in Bristol. I am keen to do more writing about social and economic issues.
A rich and varied career has equipped me with an incredibly broad range of skills and experience. Although features, reviews and interviews are my stock in trade, I have also successfully undertaken copywriting for business, charities and education, as well as marketing and research. One of my most fascinating jobs was leading a community history project helping teenage New Travellers research and write about their heritage.
Whatever the brief, I'm ready to turn my hand to it. You can check out my full CV on LinkedIn
